This is a terrific drink on a warm day.  It’s also great for breakfast on the run, or to cool you down after a hot curry!

Mango lassi Recipe


500 grams natural yoghurt (Big Vic Deli, Shop 25-28, Dairy Hall)
1 large mango, peeled, deseeded and chopped—you need 2 cups (Benny’s Fruit Corner, Stalls 1-2, H Shed)
⅔-½ cup caster sugar, to taste (M&G Caifa, Shop 51-54, Dairy Hall)
¼ tsp cardamom powder (53° East Nut Shop, Shop 6, F Shed)
1 tbsp chopped fresh mint leaves—optional (Benny’s Fruit Corner, Stalls 1-2, H Shed)
100 grams ice


Put yoghurt, mango and ⅔ cup sugar into the blender and blend to combine. Adjust sugar according to taste.

Add cardamom powder, mint leaves (if using) and ice, and blend again until smooth and creamy.

Serve immediately.
