Kale is a dark green leafy vegetable that’s really good for you. This dish is an easy accompaniment to an Asian-style meal.
1 bunch kale, well washed (Top Green Production Fruit & Veg, Stalls 59-63, A Shed)
vegetable oil (Pavilion Select Produce, Shop 31-32 Dairy Hall)
2 cloves garlic, sliced (Top Green Production Fruit & Veg, Stalls 59-63, A Shed)
1-2 tbsp soy sauce (Garden Organics, Stalls 71-76, I Shed)
¾ cup boiling water
Thickly shred the kale.
Heat a wok until very hot.
Add a swirl of vegetable oil, and stirfry the garlic slices for a minute, being careful not to burn.
Add the shredded kale and toss to coat in the oil.
Pour over the boiling water and cook until the kale has wilted.
Splash in the soy sauce, and cook for a further minute.
