Market Week commences with the Regional Producers' Market on Sunday 19 September and will continue through the week to Sunday 26 September. It is a week long festival celebrating the importance of Queen Victoria Market to Melbourne and will include a week of historic displays, children’s and family activities, cultural music, dance and street food.
The Regional Producers’ Market recognises the important link between farm produce, farmers and the Market. It will include a representation from a number of regions throughout country Victoria famed for producing fresh food and wine.
The Regional Producers’ Market will form the launch event for Market week on Sunday 19 September 2010 and is comprised of Regional food producers, offering tastings and sales on-site of raw, ready to eat and prepackaged foods.
