Winter Nights at Queen Vic

The Luna1878 Winter Night Market season is back – bringing a celebration of winter to Wednesday nights from 9 July – 27 August 2014. Visit the Luna1878 website
This year’s season features a curated selection of Melbourne’s most talented designers, artisans and gourmet food vendors to stage the mid week winter ritual within the historic sheds of the Market – plus an eclectic line up of multi media installations, graffiti works, world champion foodies and performances.
Crackling fires, mulled wine and warming street food will help ward off the winter chill, while cosy lounges, games corners and a roll-call of musicians, roving street performers and artisan entertainment, will see Luna warm up Wednesday nights in the City.
Over 20 vendors will provide warming (street) food in palates as diverse as Jamabalaya, Nepalese, Philipino style slow roasted pigs on bamboo spits and Argentinian sizzling BBQ to dumplings, steaming hot soups, mulled wine, hot cider, hot chocolate and churros for a sweet finish.

Melbourne foodies will be able to put vendors such as Hoy PinoyHammer & Tong and world-renowned pizza maker from 400 Gradi’s Johnny Di Francesco, winner of the Campionato Mondiale Della Pizza Championship in Parma, on their dinner list, as well as a string of new Melbourne street vendors and food carts.

Once again Luna will offer a curated selection of craftspeople, designers, artistans and providores during the eight week season together with String Bean Alley opening after dark.

Visitors will be able to browse homewares crafted from ‘up-cycled’ bike parts by Tread & Pedals, pick up an original artwork from Misprint, handcrafted jewellery by Neon Pear or locally made make up range from Montana Bliss, while checking out String Bean Alley regular stall holders who feature locally made and specially curated wares.
