Chris Drossos, Retail Area Coordinator (VIC) for the Australian Red Cross tells us about the Pop-up Op Shop that has appeared in String Bean Alley for the month of March.
We will have an amazing variety of stock at the stall which includes both new and recycled ladies clothing from some amazing local designers. We have also secured a great collection of brand new patterned men’s shirts from overseas designers such as River Island, G Star, Top Man and Zara. They are priced at $30 each and come in some really cool styles and colours.
We will also stock a wide variety of brand new ladies hats, bags, gloves, scarves, belts, jewellery, sunglasses and other accessories. For the guys we have some brand new ski boots as well.
It wouldn’t be a Red Cross pop up shop without a few musical instruments, board games, kids toys and other bric a brac to make our store look and feel fun.
Finally our favourite items are the awesome graffiti half mannequins which will be on display on our back wall and are available for $75 each.
All proceeds raised help support Australian Red Cross humanitarian activities which include:
- emergency services during disasters
- clean water for remote communities
- support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
- telephone calls to isolated and elderly people
- a healthy breakfast for Australian kids
