Queen Victoria Market has got itself into some sticky territory!
We asked our street food traders to think out of the box, off the plate and uncontained and put it on a stick.
Visit our celebration of all things stick in Queen Street on a Sunday. With live music, kids’ entertainment, a bar and only food that can be served à la stick, this is sure to be an event that will stick with you.
Help raise funds for the Lord Howe Island Stick Insect, and enter the draw to win a family pass to the Melbourne Zoo!
Exiled from the tropical paradise where they evolved, a tiny population of remarkable stick insects dodged extinction. Thanks to a dedicated team of scientists they’re now living safely in captivity. Support the Lord Howe Island Stick Insect.
Find Mr Sticky on one of our traders around the Queen Street site during the Sticky Fingers Festival (February-April) and upload your photos to Instagram with the hashtag #getstickyatQVM to win a family pass to the Zoo. Prize includes lunch and a visit the Endangered species program to see how the Lord Howe Island Stick Insect is being saved from extinction. The prize will be drawn in April.
Melbourne Zoo donation cans are also available and kids will receive a Mr Sticky swap card when a donation is made. The traders who raise the most donations for the Lord Howe Island Stick Insect will also receive a family pass to the Melbourne Zoo!
